Live from NPUC 2006
Today I’m at NPUC 2006 -
New Paradigm in Using Computers, taking place in the IBM Almaden
Research Lab, Calfornia. This year’s session is entitled "Power to the
users: the new web".
Although the registration was full 12 hours after opening, I managed to get a spot by using a poster presenter slot.
My
poster is entitled "A Wiki test tracking solution", and focuses on the
collaboration and social implicattions of using a wiki to track the
testing phase of a software product.
Regarding the conference, it has a very interesting program, with the featured speakers:
- Sam Ruby, IBM – "Teenager on the go"
- Rob Miller, MIT – "Automization and Customization of Rendered Web Pages"
- Stewart Butterfiled, Yahoo, Flickr co-founder – "Flickr and the User"
- Ross Mayfield , SocialText – "New Paradigms in Social Computing"
- Tom Gruber, RealTravel.com – "The people-powered web"
